Currently Chris works for the NJCA as their Webmaster. He helped update the site with new posts and information about upcoming NJCA conferences. Occasionally, he helps maintain security with the website, downloading and activating WordPress web plugins for back-end and front-end purposes, and cleaning up subscriber lists for any deactivated emails. During meetings, he collaborated with clients from the NJCA board for other web solutions. However, one of his best achievements for the position was that he transformed the website from an old Joomla site to a new WordPress site.
This is client work for Prof. Lisa O’Neil Sanders, philosophy professor at St. Peter’s University. Chris helped her built the website from scratch using Wix. He also helped with updating the graphics for the website. For example, he added some enhancements to the logo design to make it stand out more on the page.

A Study on Newspaper Circulation:
Data Science Capstone project (2018)
Abstract:
As time passes, newspapers are viewed online besides being read from print. However, there are still other people who buy printed newspapers from stores and read them.
Using the dataset from a distribution company named Liberty News Distributors, Chris did a project to find factors that could affect newspaper circulation, and make recommendations for how newspapers might improve their sales and increase their revenues. Some factors include area location, retail price, newspaper ID number, draws, and returns. Another objective of this project is to minimize the number of returns to at least one copy. To further his research, Chris also aggregated the dataset with another one that he manually created using Census Reporter data, depicting age, education and household income for each zip code.
Conclusions:
- Older people do read the print newspapers more.
- Sales do depend on what type of local newspaper it is.
- People read the Sunday papers more than the weekday papers.
- It is possible to minimize the return rate by decreasing the retail price.
- The more newspapers delivered to a store, the better the chance to increase the sales.
